PDRM Is Identifying The Driver of a Preve Who Drove Through Traffic Using a Fake Police Siren

Police are identifying the driver of a Proton Preve car who drove through the traffic congestion using directional lights and a siren at Jalan Lapangan Terbang Subang recently.

Petaling Jaya District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Mohamad Fakhrudin Abdul Hamid said a police report was lodged on Tuesday (22 March) at about 3 pm. According to the police statement, the incident took place last month on 23 February around 6:30 pm. The video was also uploaded onto social media last month but is now circulating again. “We have identified the owner of the vehicle and have recorded the conversation but the investigation is still underway because the vehicle was sold and driven by another individual at the time of the incident,” he added in the statement.

Fortunately, no accidents happened during the incident.

Commenting further, his party is identifying the individual who drove the vehicle during the incident and the investigation was conducted under Rule 94 of Motor Vehicles (Manufacture and Use) 1959 and Rule 24 (ii) 170/59. The police have also urged the people to abide by the rules on the road to prevent accidents from happening.
