A video has recently gone viral showing a bus driver allegedly driving dangerously while a woman, believed to be a passenger, records the incident.
In the clip, the woman is seen confronting the driver, who appears dazed, and can be heard asking him to pull over at the nearest R&R stop for a toilet break.

Police continue efforts to track down the bus driver
Following the incident, the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) are working to track down the express bus driver suspected of dangerous driving.
Alor Gajah District Police Chief Ahmad Abu Bakar said the incident is believed to have taken place at Kilometre 196.1 of the North-South Expressway heading south, according to Berita Harian.
Preliminary investigations suggest the bus was travelling from Terminal Bersepadu Selatan (TBS), Kuala Lumpur, to Johor Bahru.
“The footage shows the driver leaning back in his seat and using only one hand to control the steering wheel while the bus was moving at night,” he said.

Ahmad Abu added that the driver’s actions could affect control of the vehicle, reduce focus, and put passengers as well as other road users at risk.
“Police are urging the bus driver to come forward immediately to the Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Division at the Alor Gajah IPD to assist with the investigation.”
The case is being investigated under Section 42(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.

The bus driver has been suspended by his company
Meanwhile, the bus company has issued a public apology and confirmed that the driver has been suspended with immediate effect.
In a statement, Billion Stars Express said it received a public complaint and immediately launched an internal investigation after confirming that the bus involved belongs to the company.
“The driver was instructed to report to the office to assist with the investigation and undergo a safety screening test, but was found to be uncooperative.
“We would also like to apologise for any concern caused to passengers and the public. We are committed to improving our operating procedures, including stricter monitoring and continuous training for all drivers,” the statement said.
