A famous Malaysian actor and singer was recently arrested by PDRM after he was alleged to have sexually assaulted a 17-year-old girl in a hotel room in Selangor.

He was later released on police bail, but PDRM has yet to reveal the identity of the celebrity.

In a press conference yesterday (June 6), the Selangor police Chief, Datuk Hussein Omar Khan, revealed that the victim had only met the singer for the first time when she was sexually assaulted.

The victim, who is a student, has been in touch with the suspect for about 2 months before they first met at the hotel, Datuk Hussein Omar said.

“We have recorded the suspect’s statement, and for now, he is released on police bail.”

“The investigation papers are almost complete, and we will refer them to the Deputy Public Prosecutor.”

Earlier, the victim’s mother lodged a police report about the matter on June 2, and PDRM arrested the suspect the next day.
