Pity the poor doggo!

A lady in China took her dog, Coffee, for a regular check-up at Chengdu Ruipeng Pet Hospital, but what she didn’t expect for her dog to be violated by the doctor.

China Press wrote that the doctor told the pet owner that they needed to pull rotten and loose teeth if there were any. Therefore, the owner signed an agreement, and she was told to pay an amount according to the number of teeth they pull out.

Then, when the lady went to pick up her beloved Coffee, she was horrified to find that most of the doggo’s teeth had been pulled out except for two of his fangs. After that, the doctor presented her with a tin box that had bloody teeth in it and the lady was asked to pay up because they pulled out nearly a dozen of Coffee’s teeth. Wth!

According to Ms Xie, they extracted his teeth without her permission. She angrily asked,

“Only four or five teeth that was pulled out were bad, the others were good teeth. How is Coffee going to eat?”

In defense, the head of Chengdu Ruipeng Pet Hospital said that a dog has more than 40 teeth. A quick check on Purina‘s website reveals that an adult dog actually has 42 teeth in total.

Hence, the head elaborated, extracting more than 10 teeth has little effect on the dog and as for its food, the dog can be fed food that is softened.

We definitely pity Coffee for he will not able to chow down on his favourite food now. Perhaps, the hospital should have let the owner know exactly how many of Coffee’s teeth were going to be extracted before pursuing the decision.
