Kids are sometimes given an empty bottle to urinate especially when they’re in the car with no nearby toilets available. As long as the bottle is disposed of properly, it shouldn’t be a problem for most people.

But what if it’s done out in the public, or in this case, a food court, precisely? Recently, in the Facebook group Singapore Complaint, a netizen shared a picture of a caretaker allowing a child to urinate into a bottle in the full view of the public. One might think that the child may not be able to hold any longer, but the caption states that “the toilet is only a minute away.”

Basic manners, please

The picture, which shows the child holding his shirt up while urinating beside a bowl of ice kacang was shared on Saturday (16 April). Since then, netizens have expressed their take on the incident that took place in Tiong Bahru Plaza.

Most of the netizens are not happy with what they see and reiterated that there is a certain etiquette that needs to be followed while you’re out.

Mehhh… It’s common to me

On the other hand, there are also a few netizens who think that a child relieving himself in public is not that much of a big matter.

Another netizen explained the possible consequences if the caretaker were to bring his child to a nearby washroom.

Do you think it’s fine for the child to do so in public view, or do you think it’s wise for the caretaker to rush him to the toilet?
