While we’ve gotten rather used to seeing how trashed our streets can get thanks to litterbugs, some instances can still be shocking.

In this case, a tourist area in Sandakan, Sabah, can be seen completely littered, with tons of rubbish lying around literally EVERYWHERE.

The 我们是马来西亚人 We are Malaysians Facebook page shared a video of the situation, as crowds of people can be seen sitting, standing and walking around the rubbish.

In the video, children can also be seen playing the rubbish, causing health and moral concerns (after all, what are we teaching our children if they are allowed to play among litter?).

Netizens have since condemned the sight, shocked at just how comfortable people seem among the trash.

Others have since also pointed fingers at the foreigners in the area.

“I feel like this wasn’t (caused by) Malaysians, normally this is attitude from Indonesia etc. Foreigners.”

“This is all Filipinos. Sabahans are not like this.”
