Well, another incident of a young boy being accidentally left behind by his family has gone viral, this time at a petrol station at Seremban R&R.

In the video, a young boy wearing a red shirt can be seen talking to his mother using a mobile phone belonging to one of the petrol station’s workers.

It turns out that the parents didn’t notice that the boy was not inside the car and had made their way exiting R&R Seremban.

Based on the captions on the video, the boy had earlier entered the petrol station and asked the workers whether they’d seen his parents’ Proton Waja car.

Since the phone call was made on loudspeaker, viewers can hear the conversation between the boy and his mother.

The mother can be heard raising her voice and scolding the boy for what has happened. She then asked him to stay put and wait for the parents to make a U-turn to the petrol station.

After the phone call is over, the boy then gave the mobile phone back to the worker and said that he will be sitting outside so that his parents can see him.

However, the kind petrol station worker asked the boy to stay and sit on a bench inside the petrol station as it would take a while for the parents to U-turn back to pick him up.

In the tweet replies to the video, a majority of netizens criticised the mother’s action of raising her voice to the boy who was worried and confused at being left alone at the petrol station.

Moreover, some claimed that the mother was acting defensively and putting the blame on the boy when it is her responsibility as a parent to ensure his son’s whereabouts.

Comments

One commenter said that it is “so pathetic” for the mother to act that way as the innocent young boy didn’t know anything and was the one being left behind.

Meanwhile, another netizen is worried that this incident may cause trauma for the boy as the parents seemingly don’t have empathy for him.
