vivo Malaysia, as the only Official Sponsor in the smartphone industry for FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™, is organising the ‘vivo Give It a Shot Challenge’, encouraging Malaysians to share their football passion to help the underprivileged children in the country.

Give it a shot poster final

In alignment with FIFA’s vision which is to make football truly global, diverse and inclusive for the benefit of the entire world, vivo Malaysia wants to make a difference and lend a hand to support Malaysian youths. According to a report by the Department of Statistics Malaysia, absolute poverty among Malaysians increased from 5.6% in 2019 to 8.4% in 2020, while poor households increased from 405,400 to 639,800 in the same period. As the world enters the World Cup season with passion, excitement and enthusiasm, vivo Malaysia hopes every youth will have a chance to fulfil their needs and chase their dream, even through their favourite game – football.

KOL 3.1

Happening from 21 November to 18 December 2022, the ‘vivo Give It A Shot Challenge’ opens an opportunity for Malaysians to show off their football skills and share the joy of FIFA with the world while giving back to the needy. The challenge involves participants uploading a video of themselves kicking a ball in their creative way, and for every video uploaded, RM1 will be donated to World Vision Malaysia.

To participate, here are the steps to follow:

  1. Record a video of you kicking a ball.
  2. Upload the video to any social media (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok) with hashtags #vivogiveitashotchallenge and #vivoMYxFIFA. Ensure your account is set to public!
  3. Tag 2 of your friends in the caption to join the good cause.
