What would you do if you saw someone stuck by the side of a highway with a flat tyre?

Stranded on a highway under the blistering heat, a woman recounted how hopeless she felt as no one stopped to help her for 10 minutes. Though, thankfully, a group of Alam Flora workers soon passed by and knew that they had to assist.

The woman, an admin of Wow Online Shop, took to their Facebook page to share details about the incident and her gratitude towards the Alam Flora workers who stopped to help her change her tyre.

She wrote, “There was no network on my mobile phone, but luckily there was enough signal for me to make calls. A girl standing by the highway under the hot sun. I waved (at people passing by) for 10 minutes and no one responded to me.”

“Some people slowed down and approached me but then left. Some just looked at me and left.”

But, she was not going to be left helpless for much longer.

Soon, a lorry carrying the Alam Flora workers passed by and they gestured at her to ask her what was going on. She thought that they too would leave her without assistance but she thought wrong.

“They were the only ones gesturing from their window to ask what was going on. I didn’t have time to respond, I thought they were leaving too. But, they stopped.”

“One of the abangs got out and asked me what happened to my car. He then called his companions to help me. They helped me change the tyre under the hot sun. Before leaving, he told me to drive carefully,” she explained.

Feeling relieved and appreciative of their help, she shared her gratitude and happiness of having met them.

“They are the Abangs of Alam Flora. I am thankful for meeting you today. Thank you to our fellow community members for your help. Thank you for staying for half an hour of your work. I wish you a safe and happy life. Malaysia boleh!” she added.
