Online transfers are certainly very handy as you can send money to anyone with just a few taps of your fingertips.

As bank accounts are a jumble of numbers, it is very easy to make mistakes and that is exactly what happened to a Malaysian named Fahada Bistari.

In a TikTok video that has gone viral with 3.1 million views, she talked about how she accidentally sent her first salary to a stranger.

“Today I got my first salary. It’s not much as I had just worked a few days. I banked in the money to my mother but long story short, I accidentally banked in to another person.”

Talking more about how that could have happened, she said that she had previously helped her mother make a payment to the account number before.

Transfer To Stranger

As she was so excited to give the money to her mother, she did not double-check the name on the account and just proceeded with the transfer.

She sent the receipt to her mother and was shocked to see that she transferred the money to another person.

“My mother gave me the phone number of the person and I called, texted and WhatsApped them. Finally, they asked me to think of it as a donation to them.”

After hearing that, the young woman said while sobbing, “it’s not that I don’t want to donate but my pay is very little and I wanted to give it to my mother.” At the end of the video, she says this is a lesson learnt.

Following up on the issue, she mentioned in another video that the day after, the person finally gave her the money back with a little “added drama”.
