If you’re like most people, the thought of a rat infestation probably gives you the creeps. Rats aren’t exactly known for being cute or cuddly, so the idea of discovering them in your car can be really unsettling.
In a recent viral TikTok video, user @bengtures took to her TikTok account to share reasons why parking near rat-infested areas might not be a great idea.
Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, Beng revealed that she’s a content creator in the automotive scene. When she created the video, she saw it as an opportunity to share her experience with those who might not be aware of it.
“As you know, as a content creator, ideation never sleeps,” she added.
She continued to explain the numerous reasons why you shouldn’t park your car in areas infested with rats. As many of you know, rats and rodents are not only carriers of several types of diseases, but they can also inhabit cars and chew on cables.

Beng also recounted an incident involving a friend’s wife who felt something moving around in her car while driving. However, at the time, she couldn’t determine what it was.
Later, it was discovered that a rat had given birth to a litter of babies in the car’s air conditioning vent.
In the video, Beng then shares how she saw a rat peeking out from a random driver’s car parked near the rats’ nest somewhere in Petaling Jaya area. This prompted her to leave a note for the driver, informing them of the situation.
“I was quite surprised to see so many of them in the area. However, I don’t harbor any negative feelings towards them; I simply thought I’d share my knowledge with those who might not be aware.”
