Following the prices hikes of eggs in the country, and the infamous parody of Melaka’s Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs (KPDNHEP) Norena Jaafar telling Malaysians to eat fewer eggs, more and more people are jumping on the bandwagon of making fun of the situation.

One Malaysian’s sarcastic joke not only humoured the people but also provided quite a solution to the egg problem.

Ameera took to her Facebook page to showcase how people can be thrifty with eggs by making multiple fried eggs with just one egg

Egg 4

She wrote, “How to fry eggs while saving in Malaysia. Eggs are expensive; eat fewer eggs. Eggs are expensive; find ways to save.”

Here is Ameera’s step-by-step instruction for frying eggs while saving!

Egg 5

Firstly, you need to separate the egg whites and the egg yolk. You should scoop a little bit of the egg whites onto a frying pan with a spoon. You should make multiple little egg white dollops.

Egg 1

“Take (some of) the egg yolk and place it on top of the egg white. It saves a lot; you get a lot. (You get) SO MUCH,”

“Once it is done frying, you can take it out. Aren’t they cute?”

Egg 2

Egg 3

In the end, she managed to make ten mini fried eggs with just ONE EGG

“Have fun trying this, guys. It’s 2022, okay?” she added.

It is important to note that she’s being sarcastic and is in no way expecting people to live based on such methods because nutrition is essential!
