While Malaysians may think of Dato’ Lee Chong Wei when it comes to the national badminton player, others might have Lee Zii Jia in mind. Local influencer and viral Wagyu Pizza seller, on the other hand, had someone else in mind.

This is after the influencer, Jofliam, recently named Lin Dan as the national badminton player while sending his kids to school.

Malaysian influencer goes viral for naming Lin Dan as the national badminton player

In one of his recent Instagram stories, Jofliam jokingly likened his kid to the national badminton player, but named Lin Dan, who hailed from China. Lin, who is a former Chinese professional badminton player, last played with Dato’ Lee Chong Wei during the 2018 All England Open, before the latter announced his retirement.

In his Instagram Stories, Jofliam was seen sending his kids to school, and said that he had to stay back at her daughter’s school as the place was having an orientation day for the parents.

Jofliam divorced Cik Epal after a 10-year marriage, and this year, the man remarried, with his kids staying with him.

“He might tell you that he didn’t mention which country.”

A netizen then pointed out that Jofliam allegedly did not complete his tertiary education, saying,

“Nothing to be surprised. He didn’t even finish his foundation studies in UIA, which explains his IQ level.”

“His general knowledge is obviously lacking.”

“Dato’ Lee Chong Wei worked hard to elevate Malaysia’s name, and just like that, someone else got the credit.”

Jofliam, who is also the founder of Pizza Wagyu Jofliam, achieved the 99th ranking among the world’s top 100 pizza chefs in 2024 during The Best Pizza in The World Competition in Milan, Italy.
