Despite the chaos, we all love our country for its food, cultural diversity and captivating sceneries. Everyone loves the country for their own specific reasons but recently, a Malaysian has found herself under fire for her comments that show her lack of patriotism.

Recently, a netizen, Hui Yue has shared multiple screenshots of Abby Lee, one of the finalists for Miss International Malaysia who expressed her desire to leave Malaysia. She went to the extent of saying that she never considered herself a Malaysian.

“I join these for my interests, not because I love my country. Those close to me have always known that I don’t even care about the country. I never considered myself a Malaysian and have always wanted to migrate.”

In another screenshot about the editing of her pictures, she questioned “Why am born in a kampung in Malaysia and not a big town in China? I love China and Japan.”

As if it wasn’t bad enough already, Abby also made a racist remark on Muslim women by saying they are considered a low-class nation and don’t have any status.

The post has since gone viral and as expected, Abby’s lack of patriotism and racist remarks did not sit well with most of the Malaysians.
