A saleswoman at a vape shop was traumatised after a man in a military uniform sexually harassed her while buying a vape pod.

According to Harian Metro, the incident happened at 1pm on 5 October at a vape shop in Taman Keramat, Ulu Klang, Selangor where CCTV footage managed to capture what took place.

Pod

Ampang Jaya District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Mohamad Farouk Eshak said the 18-year-old victim was approached by the man in the uniform who wanted to buy vape items.

After finishing the transaction, the man left but later came back into the shop and said that the vape pod he bought wasn’t working. The victim then inspected the pod and replaced it with a new one.

In the video, the saleswoman can be seen taking a puff from a vape pod and handing it to the man. He then takes the vape pod and grabs hold of the woman’s hand, before putting her finger in his mouth while smoking on the vape.

Here’s the video:

“The victim handed over the vape pod and at that time, the suspect took the opportunity to hold the victim’s hand and also licked the victim’s hand,” Mohamad Farouk said.

“After the victim said there was a closed circuit television (CCTV) camera, the suspect immediately released the victim’s hand and left the scene.”

He added that the authorities are tracking the suspect down and trying to obtain his personal details.

Meanwhile, the case is being investigated under Section 354 of the Penal Code for assault or use of criminal force to a person with intent to outrage modesty.

Mohamad Farouk said that members of the public who have further information can contact the investigating officer Inspector Siti Zaleha Abdullah at 03-42897222 or the nearest police station.
