Meet Hooi Mi Suet, a professional makeup artist who decided to contest in this year’s GE, where she will be representing Parti Warisan in Simpang Pulai, Perak. Many of you may not have seen her before, but according to a Facebook post by Warisan, this is not Mi Suet’s first rodeo in the political world.

She has been contributing to society since the very first MCO back in March 2020, but she prefers to go low-profile and not “flaunt” her good deeds on social media. Here’s a list of contributions in her “resume”,

  • Leading the young women of the Perak Warisan party
  • Helping the needy
  • Distributed free food and supplies

Aside from helping people, Mi Suet is also keen to protect the environment as she feels that the infrastructure in Simpang Pulai is lacking in maintenance. As an animal lover, she also thinks that more could’ve been done to protect the stray animals. With these environmental problems, Mi Suet decided to run for the upcoming election and serve the people in Simpang Pulai.

You can read more about Mi Suet in the post below.

In her personal Facebook account, Mi Suet said that the candidates are the representative of the rakyat, but the rakyat themselves are the real boss of the candidates.

“I always remind myself that whenever the rakyat ask for help, we have to be ready at all times to assist them,” she said.

Mi Suet’s Facebook post gained much attention from many Malaysians, who have mostly responded with funny comments about the design of her election poster, while others expressed interest in voting for her.

Fellow Simpang Pulai folks, what do you think of Mi Suet? Do you think she’ll bring changes to the place if  Parti Warisan wins the place?
