As the amount of the Tabung Harapan Malaysia (THM) fund increases, more people are coming forth to help Malaysia solve its greatest financial crisis yet.

For instance, yesterday (11 June 2018), it was reported that a dental clinic in Johor donated RM1 million to THM, with the handover of the donation being witnessed by Lim Kit Siang. Impressive right?

Similarly, in the spirit of giving, The Malay Mail revealed that a local fast food chain operator, Marrybrown Sdn Bhd has also donated RM200,000 to THM. Wow!

Chairman Datuk Lawrence Liew shared that Marrybrown, who see themselves as a “caring corporate organisation”, wants to help improve Malaysia’s current economic and financial state.

“We are pleased to be able to contribute to Tabung Harapan Malaysia, this is our contribution to the country to make Malaysia a great nation.”

“We also hope that more organisations will work together to help rebuild our beloved nation,” said Datuk Lawrence during a buka puasa event, where they presented the cheque to THM at Marrybrown’s headquarters.

Good job in trying to actively solve the nation’s problem!

Datuk Lawrence also added that the sum of RM200,000 was contributed by Marrybrown’s staff and its franchisee all over the country.

The event also hosted Marrybrown’s managing director Datuk Nancy Liew and Tebrau’s MP Steven Choong Shiau Yoon.

Well, it’s definitely great to see Malaysians coming together to help the government solve a national crisis. This isn’t a sight we’d seen so frequently before!

Plus, it’s really amazing to see what we have accomplished in such a short span of time. Just like Mattie Stepanek said, “Unity is strength; when there is teamwork and collaboration, wonderful things can be achieved.”

That said, we hope that the enthusiasm to be a part of the country’s development and financial growth will not simmer down as time passes by as clearly, we are only at the beginning of the road towards prosperity.
