Man in Bloodied, Battered State Found at Hospital Kuala Lumpur Parking Lot

A foreign man suffered serious head and rib injuries after apparently being beaten while in the Kuala Lumpur Hospital (HKL) multi-storey parking lot on Sunday (June 29).

According to a report by Kosmo, the Dang Wangi District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Sulizmie Affendy Sulaiman, stated that his department received a report regarding the incident at 8:56 pm from an HKL assistant medical officer.

He said that the victim was taken to the hospital’s Emergency Department at 5:02 pm by an ambulance from the scene of the incident.

“Initial hospital examinations found that the man suffered head injuries and a fractured right rib. However, there was no fracture to the skull; the victim is currently in stable condition and is still receiving further treatment,” he explained.

 

No arrests have been made

Assistant Commissioner Sulizmie Affendy Sulaiman added that the case is being investigated under Section 324 of the Penal Code, which is for causing injury with the use of a weapon.

“So far, no arrests have been made and investigations are still being conducted to complete the investigation papers before being referred to the Deputy Public Prosecutor.”
