Salaries are important, it is the reward for all the hard work we have put in, and we need them to pay bills. However, if we don’t get paid on time, you can bet that all hell will break loose. Like the man who beat up his boss’ son for being paid late; or more recently, this man from Indonesia who killed his employer after not being paid for three years.

What happened, you ask?

Well, father and son, Terusman and RD, murdered M Dasrullah, their boss, because the victim had allegedly not paid their salaries, worth of IDR 20 million (RM5,495), in three years, reported Coconuts

According to a confession given by Terusman to the police in Batanghari Regency of Sumatra’s Jambi Province, the 54-year-old man had repeatedly beaten Dasrullah to death with a machete while the victim was asleep in the hut.

Then, with the help of his son, RD, they buried his employer’s corpse but before burying the body, they mutilated the victim’s penis. Yikes!

“After I cut him, I buried him. Then, I took his ‘vital tool’ back to the hut,” said Terusman.

Obviously, he didn’t take it raw. Instead, he boiled the penis and sprinkled it with some spices before eating it. When asked for his reason for mutilating his boss’ genitalia, his answer was that he didn’t want the victim’s spirit to haunt him. What the…

“I boiled [the penis] before I eventually ate it myself, so that the victim’s spirit wouldn’t haunt me,” he said.

According to the police, Terusman and RD were arrested at two different locations because they had split up for several days after the murder had taken place.

Based on reports given, Terusman had shown no remorse for his actions. He also admitted that they had in fact plotted to kill Dasrullah for over a week. A first-degree murder!

Due to this, they both have been charged with intentional murder. Thus, Terusman could be facing life imprisonment and the possible death penalty. Meanwhile, RD, who is 15 years old, could face much lighter penalties compared to his dad because he is still a minor.

The regency’s public prosecutor is reportedly ready to take the suspects to trial in the upcoming weeks.

Since the murder was pre-planned, it is obvious that the suspects are fully aware of their crime and its consequences. However, instead of taking matters into their own hands, the duo should have gone to the authorities first.
