Losing a loved one is never easy and often times we are reminded of all the memories we had with that person. Looking back at photos and videos of the times you shared together is one of the ways to relive their memories.

Indonesian Ledia Elan Safitri had a sweet ‘reunion’ with her late mother who passed away four years ago when she stumbled upon some images while browsing through Google Maps.

In a TikTok video, Ledia shared how she unexpectedly found her mother walking in the area near her house as she scrolled through Google Maps. She said she was looking for her house on the map as many commented that they wanted to see her house before she moved.

“My mother died 4 years ago. But on Google Maps, mama looks very healthy,” she said in the video.

“I was really surprised to see Mum walking. Thank you Google Maps. I did not take many pictures of my mother because I lost my mobile phone.”

When asked what her reaction was when she saw her mother on Google Maps, Ledia told WORLD OF BUZZ that she was shocked but very happy at the same time.

“My feelings are, of course, shocked but also very happy because I don’t really take many photos of Mom because my cellphone was lost before,” she said.

“On the other hand, I am also very sad because I miss my mother, who I will never meet again in this world.”

“The point is I’m really happy to see Mama on maps and I was very grateful that Mom was there and finally I was able to take a photo of Google maps.”

Ledia’s video has since been viewed over three million times on TikTok and over 1,500 times on Instagram.

Awwww. What a touching story! I’m sure Ledia will cherish those photos in her heart forever.
