For many who do not rent rooms or houses in Malaysia, you may not know that certain homeowners and landlords use partitioning to make the most out of their space.

This means that living rooms or other common areas are walled off with plywood or other thin materials to create more rooms to rent out.

Someone might have taken things too far though, as Malaysians are madly amused by a room for rent in Bukit Jalil that has been advertised online. The room in question appears to be located either in a kitchen or bathroom.

Room 1

In the picture showcased, half of the room appears to be tiled up, similar to what you would see in a kitchen or bathroom.

Netizens have since taken to the advertisement to share their amusement and disbelief that someone would renovate their kitchen/toilet to rent it out as a room to stay

Room 6

Not going to lie, the room actually looks not bad and if the price is affordable enough, we’d live there. It would be an interesting conversation starter (like hello, did you know that I live in a toilet?).

Would you rent this room? Share your thoughts in the comment section!
