Malaysia Wins 15 Medals With 6 Gold At The Commonwealth Games!

Congratulations once again to all Malaysian representatives!

Malaysia won a total of 15 medals at the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games so far, with six gold medals, five silver medals and four bronze medals. Our country also ranks number 9 among all the competing countries.

Our gold medalists are Mohamad Aniq Kasdan and Muhamad Aznil Bidin from the weightlifting team, badminton mixed team (four gold medals), Bonnie Bunyau Gustin from para powerlifting, andĀ Ng Joe Ee who bagged two gold medals in gymnastics ball and ribbon categories last night.

The silver medalists on the other hand are Muhammad Erry Hidayat from the weightlifting team, the women’s team in table tennis, Gabriel Gilbert Daim and Muhammad Syafiq Puteh from the diving men’s team,Ā  Nur Ain Nabilah Tarmizi, Syafiqa Haidar Afif Abdul Rahman and Azlina Arshad from lawn bowl team, and Nur Dhabitah Sabri and Ng Yan Yee from women’s diving team.

Muhammad Shah Firdaus Sahrom, Siti Zalina Ahmad, Amir Daniel Abdul Majeed and Izzah Amzan also won bronze medals from their respective sports team, namely cycling, lawn bowl, Judo and gymnastics accordingly.

While some of our national athletes have already arrived in Malaysia, some are still preparing for the upcoming games. Congratulations to team Malaysia for winning 15 medals so far!
