In conjunction with Women’s Day celebrated globally yesterday (8 March), several brands and deals offered special discounts for women in Malaysia. If you received a forwarded WhatsApp message stating that KFC will be offering a Family Feast Bucket, be reminded that the “survey” is a scam confirmed by KFC Malaysia.

KFC Malaysia released a statement alerting netizens that the survey is merely a scam to obtain users private information. They added that the scam is not affiliated with KFC Malaysia in any form.

The sites involved in the scam are as follow:

For future promotions and deals, KFC Malaysia reminded users to check their website and social media channels. Netizens in the comment section thanked KFC for the reminder but also said that in the future, their warnings should be quicker to avoid any customers getting scammed.

KFC recently released their meat-free “chicken” burger which received positive responses from netizens. According to KFC Malaysia, the patty is high in protein and fibre and low in saturated fat.
