UPDATE: The couple is overwhelmed by the magnitude of assistance that was offered to them. While they express their gratitude to the public for the kindness, they will NO LONGER be accepting aid and donations as they have enough to sustain themselves.

This is a submission from an ongoing initiative by WORLD OF BUZZ to help those in need during this pandemic. If you would like to be involved in this campaign, please click here.

#KempenBenderaPutih has seen Malaysians reaching out to help each other throughout their difficulties upon realising they can no longer rely on the higher-ups. WORLD OF BUZZ received many submissions from struggling Malaysians out there simply wanting help for their next meal.

“It doesn’t matter how much”

Nur Emylia reached out to us with a small humble request. She simply said that she just needs monetary help to pay for her rent that has been overdue for months. Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, she said that she has a one-month-old baby and hasn’t worked as she’s still in her confinement period.

Her husband who previously worked at a furniture store was let go during the last Movement Control Order. As of now, Emylia just needs help to pay some of her bills and thus humbly requests this from countless Malaysians out there.

“The amount doesn’t matter as long as it can help lighten our load just a little. We have our baby to support as well.”

Struggling Couple

For illustration purposes only

The couple previously received aid but the assistance was only limited to food packs and monetary assistance. However, the money they had gotten wasn’t enough to pay their bills. The struggling couple is desperate for resources to ensure they still have a roof over their heads to take care of their child and extend their gratitude to anybody who is willing to help them in their dire situation.

Emylia praised the #KempenBenderaPutih for helping every struggling Malaysian out there in whatever way possible.

If you wish to help Emylia, her banking details are as follow:

  • Maybank: 151307032246 (Nur Emylia)

Have you been struggling during this lockdown? Reach out to us and let us know how we can help you!

UPDATE 1: The couple have received sufficient help and thank those who have lent help to them.
