Jack Neo Is Making A New “I Not Stupid” Movie & Has Started Open Casting Auditions

Remember the classic Singaporean comedy film “I Not Stupid” and “I Not Stupid 2” that most Singaporean and Malaysian Chinese grew up with? After 17 years since the second film, director Jack Neo is finally announcing the making of a new “I Not Stupid” movie!

Jack Neo’s first two “I Not Stupid” movies featuring actors like Shawn Lee and Joshua Ang achieved excellent box office. On 8 May 2023, he announced that he will start filming “I Not Stupid 3” during the school holiday season in June.

According to him, the film will discuss the habits and cultural differences of immigrants who are studying in Singapore. The movie script is currently still in development.

The movie casting call has also started. As posted by MM2 Entertainment Singapore, the movie is looking for male and female students aged between 8 to 14 years old, as well as mothers from various countries whose ages are around mid 30s to 50s.

Those who are interested can upload a 30-second to one-minute acting video to the relevant platforms and tag the teams accordingly. For more details, check out the post here.
