Competitive eating has become his career

The 37-year-old went on to explain how he initially got into competitive eating because of a dare, and now it has become his full-time career.

Additionally, he shared that his passion for food inspired him to pursue his current career, emphasising his love for exploring story-rich street food in different countries.

“I’ve always wanted to take on a nasi kandar challenge because I love curry rice, and it’s definitely been the highlight of my trip to Penang.”

The bill amounted to RM300!

In the video, Zermat Neo mentioned that he had set himself a challenge to finish the enormous plate of nasi kandar within a time limit of 1 hour, aiming to complete the entire dish all by himself.

He also mentioned that he thinks there are at least 5 different curries in the nasi kandar, and that the fish head is probably the most expensive item in the dish compared to everything else.

“It took me a full hour to finish, and it cost me RM300, making it the most I’ve ever ordered and consumed by myself.”
