I mean, the dream is obviously to live anywhere rent-free!

Let’s be honest, real estate is a nightmare and it’s increasingly difficult to find a decent place to stay in, especially during this pandemic season. By the time you find a place that’s seemingly habitable, you’ll find that you would have to starve every day just to afford the rent.

Nevertheless, if you live in someone’s house, paying the rent is not only the norm- it’s the law. Sarawak real estate agent, Robert Kong took to Facebook to call out a potential renter who planned to find a place for essentially nothing!

Robert: How about this place?

Renter: Wah, the rent is RM1,000. This is quite expensive for me!

Robert: Can I know what’s your budget?

Renter: I’m looking for a house where I don’t need to pay for rent, just the utilities.

Robert: Who is going to give you a house to rent without actually charging rent money?

In his Facebook post, Robert couldn’t help but be amused with the potential renter who wants to live in a place that provides free rent. He even asked Facebook users if any of them were willing to rent a house without charging rent.

His post went viral garnering over 2,000 shares with Facebook users calling out the entitled renter who seemed to take the real estate agent for granted.
