With the country in its transition into endemicity, it makes sense that more organisations are looking for suitable candidates to fill up the vacant positions in their places.

In this technology-dominant era, social media like LinkedIn, Instagram, and even Facebook have become the platform for fellow employers to look for the best candidates to work for them. Most of the time, the advertisement for job positions are conveyed in a formal manner, but a local organisation not only advertised their job cleverly but it was done as honest and as simple as possible.

Just last night (October 17), the local cinema GSC advertised an available position in their company, and they did it so cleverly (and it worked!). GSC Cinemas is currently looking for a designer, and their Facebook post couldn’t have made it clearer that the team does indeed need a graphic designer.

GSC Cinemas is known for its engaging content on Facebook, not only for marketing purposes but also to keep the “chatters” in the comment sections alive. From relatable circumstances like embracing Monday blues and welcoming a long weekend, the team does have their own unique ways to engage the audience with its postings and memes.

The job posting caught the attention of many Malaysians, even those who were not keen on the position but were simply amazed by their advertisement.

Some people think that they don’t need to look for a graphic designer as the message is already conveyed, despite the absence of design.

In the meantime, other netizens continue to express their take on how GSC advertises their job posting.

On a serious note, if you’re keen on pursuing the position of Lead Graphic Designer in GSC Cinemas, you can visit the official job posting on Jobstreet.

We wouldn’t deny the simplicity and effectiveness of GSC’s “honest” job posting on Facebook. Kudos to the mastermind behind this! Apt & clever!
