Have you had anyone tell you they wish they could quit their jobs, turn back time and go to school again? Do you wish you could go back to the days of homework and exams?

In the final years of our education, it is easy to want to be done with school as soon as possible. It makes sense- in those years, we would have been in school almost every day for most of our lives, and things can get boring!

But there can also be great pleasure and satisfaction in learning, which is what one grandma is showing everyone.

Grandma loves learning

In a recent TikTok video shared by the granddaughter Jasmin, her grandma can be seen diligently and slowly writing in a notebook.

The video, which has amassed 1.1 million views since being posted, shows her looking determined as she learns how to spell.

She also earnestly asks her granddaughter questions, which Jasmin answers patiently as she teaches her grandma.

“I decided to film my grandma each time we had a spelling session. I can see her love for learning. She seemed so determined to learn when someone guides her,” said Jasmin in the video’s text.

Question

At one point, we can hear Jasmin’s grandma reading aloud what she has written.

“Malaysia kerajaan mangkuk,” she reads carefully as Jasmin chuckles.

She adds that her grandma stopped school at an early age and wishes that she got the chance to continue school like the other kids back in the day.

“I know my Tok would’ve loved learning at school. May she continue to keep learning.”

Netizens are inspired

The heartwarming video has touched the hearts of thousands of netizens. Some were inspired, some teared up, and some were tickled about how cute and funny Grandma is.
