The audacity of men like these who don’t care even when women say NO truly baffles us.
Recently, a TikTok user took to her account and revealed how her day with a friend in a park was interrupted by two strangers who claimed they just wanted to be their friends.
But these persistent strangers were turning out to be annoying and a nightmare after.
Zatul was simply enjoying the day with her friend while recording herself with the app until she noticed two guys on a motorcycle approaching them. According to the captions, she stated that a guy in red had approached them earlier, presumably with his son. Then he left and returned again but this time with his friend.
“Don’t be afraid. We don’t eat people,” said one of the guys jokingly.
The guy in red then proceeded to sit beside her friend as if they knew each other. He insisted that he just wanted to be friends with them, to which Zatul told in a proper manner that they did not want to be disturbed as they were hanging out.
“Give me your phone number and I won’t disturb you. I mean well!” the guy in red persisted.
Zatul tried to escape the conversation by claiming that they don’t have WhatsApp but the guys continuously pursued them, and at one point asking them which block do they live in the nearby flat. She simply said she couldn’t remember and the guys just cheekily laughed at her answer.
In the next caption, she stated that her friend was shaking when the guy was seated next to her and she demanded the guys to have some respect. Despite trying to leave, the guys were still there with the girls, refusing to leave them alone. Eventually, Zatul’s friend offered the guys her boyfriend’s cellphone number to make them go away. One of the guys was then heard saying,
“Don’t give us your dad’s number!”
The guys eventually left and they thought it was the end, but to her dismay, they were actually waiting for them at the park’s entrance!
Terrified, the girls took another route to walk home while still being followed as their flat was just within walking distance.
Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, Zatul said that both the guys came to apologise to her the next day after the video went viral, and asked her to take down the video, which she hasn’t. The guys blamed her for defaming them when they did not even touch her or her friend. The guys also denied the allegations that they followed the girls on their way back home.
For safety purposes, Zatul lodged a police report the same evening. The guys apologised once again and promised not to disturb them anymore, and Zatul and her friend have decided not to pursue the matter any further.
When asked, she revealed that the park is at Taman Rekreasi Ayer Panas, just behind the Sungai Bonus PPR Flat. She also stated that her friend and her did not leave immediately as the park was full of people from the flat who she was convinced would help them should anything bad happen.
Nobody deserves to feel unsafe while being outdoors. We hope this teaches people like these guys a lesson to not harass women.
