Who here did SPM History? Do the names Francis Light and Tuk Janggut ring a bell?

Suppose they do, good for you! You paid attention in class and probably got the answers to questions related to these leaders right.

Let us see if you can get it right again!

Recently, a page of what is believed to be a History examination paper was circulated on social media.

The page had five multiple-choice questions and was entirely in the Malay language.

However, what is bizarre about the questions is how easy, and low-standard they are.

Here is a quick translation of all five questions:

  1. Who opened up Penang?
  2. Who was the Malay warrior who fought against the British in Kelantan?
  3. Who was the Malay warrior who fought against the British in Pahang?
  4. Who was the Pahang princess who loved Hang Tuah?
  5. Who was the general secretary of the Communist Party of Malaya?

So, as you can see, the questions are already as straightforward as they can be.

But the multiple possible answers are even more alarmingly easy, making the correct answer very clear!

Netizens are appalled

Shocked at the difficulty level (or, lack thereof) of the questions, netizens had differing opinions.

Some doubted that the examination paper was real and concluded that it was probably just a prank.

Others lamented the extremely low standards of the paper while making sarcastic comments.

“Why is the History paper during our time so difficult? If it was like this, I could’ve gotten 100 marks.”

Hopefully, it is not an actual exam paper! What a disgrace it would be if it is.
