Famed ‘Doraemon’ Co-Creator, Fujiko A. Fujio, Passes Away At The Age Of 88
Famed Japanese manga artist and co-creator of the popular anime series, Doraemon, has passed away at the age of 88.
Based on a report by The Japan Times, Fujiko A. Fujio, whose real name was Motoo Abiko, had died outside his home near Tokyo.
Known for his work in ‘Ninja Hattori-kun’, ‘Kaibutsu-kun’ and ‘The Laughing Salesman’, his most notable creation to Malaysians may very well be ‘Doraemon’, which he produced alongside his childhood friend, Fujiko F. Fujio. In partnership with his friend, the duo named themselves Fujiko Fujio, though they later parted ways.
He will be missed by an entire generation who grew up with his work.
