Explosion At Johor Factory Sends Up Fiery Mushroom Cloud That Could Be Seen From S’pore
Images and videos have been circulating on social media, after the explosion caused a huge fiery mushroom cloud to take to the sky.
This incident took place at an artificial rubber processing factory in the Tanjung Langsat industrial area yesterday afternoon.
The fireball was so big that it could clearly be seen from Pasir Ris and Punggol, Singapore.
2 local workers suffered burns from the fire while another broke their leg jumping from the building upon hearing the explosion.
Seri Alam District Police Chief, Superintendent Mohd Sohaimi Ishak shared that initial investigations found that the fire was caused by 2 tanks that had exploded.
“All victims were sent to the Penawar Pasir Gudang Hospital for further treatment,”
“The fire and rescue team as well as the factory emergency relief team managed to put out the fire at 8:30pm. The incident did not result in any casualties,” he said.
We’re so happy that no one lost their lives and that our brave firefighters managed to put the dangerous blaze to rest.
