An elderly married couple was killed after their motorcycle was struck by a car that reportedly lost control along Jalan Ampang, near Gleneagles Hospital in Kuala Lumpur. The driver of the car is alleged to have been intoxicated at the time of the collision.

Details of the fatal collision

Assistant Commissioner Mohd Zamzuri Mohd Isa, Chief of the Kuala Lumpur Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department, confirmed that the accident involved a single motorcycle and one car.

“Preliminary investigations suggest that the car, driven by a 24-year-old man, lost control before crashing into the rear of the victims’ motorcycle. As a result of the impact, both the husband and wife sustained fatal head injuries,” he said in a statement, as reported by Berita Harian.
