During times like this, there are many out there who are feeling sad and lonely, especially the elderly.

Hence, the least we can do is try to make their day and put a smile on their faces.

The Singaporean Inter-Racial and Religious Confidence Circle (Siglap IRCC) took to their Facebook page to showcase politician, Dr Maliki Osman as he held a surprise birthday celebration for an elderly man with cerebral palsy.

Bday 1

They wrote, “Advisor, Dr Maliki, and his Grassroots leaders held a surprise birthday for this 63-year-old resident suffering from cerebral palsy. Tears of joy flowed from this resident’s eyes when we sang a birthday song for him.”

Dr Maliki even fed the man a piece of cake before proceeding with a house visit.

Bday 2

“We are indeed blessed to have such a caring Advisor. Siglap IRCC will continue to work with Dr Maliki and our Grassroots leaders to support and care for our seniors,” they added.

Seeing the man’s huge smile definitely brings tears to our eyes.

During this pandemic, let’s all remember our elderly friends, family and strangers who might be feeling a little down and need some cheering up and company.

What do you think about this? Let us know in the comment section.
