Due to not stopping when asked to, an elderly man had been punched, kicked and had his hair pulled in his car in front of a petrol station near a shopping center in Ampang.

According to a report by Harian Metro, the Ampang Jaya District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner Mohamad Farouk Eshak shared that, while driving at the Jalan Kolam Air Lama traffic lights, the victim, a 67-year-old doctor, realised that his vehicle had been hit from behind.

“When he arrived in front of the petrol station, the victim’s vehicle was blocked from the front by a white Mercedes car. Then, a man got out of the car and opened the victim’s door and punched the victim’s face on the right side of the cheek, pulled his hair and kicked the victim in the waist.”

“The incident was recorded by other road users which was then spread on social media on March 20, Monday,” he said.

The 27-year-old suspect was arrested when he appeared at the Ampang Jaya District Police Headquarters (IPD) after giving his statement last night (21 March, Tuesday).

“It is understood that the suspect acted in this way because he was not satisfied with the victim who ignored the order to stop the car when the vehicle collision happened.

“A check was made and it was found that the suspect has no criminal record and the result of a urine screening test conducted on the man was found to be negative,” he added.

This case is now being investigated in accordance with Section 323/506 of the Penal Code for the offense of intentionally causing injury and criminal threats.
