Drugs are bad and we should all stay far, far away from them! When a person is addicted to drugs, the withdrawal symptoms they go through when they can’t get their next hit is terrible and this was one of the main reasons that this father decided to smuggle some drugs to his daughter, who was locked up in prison. No, not even kidding.

According to China Press, the incident happened in Kluang, Johor when a 60-year-old man visited his daughter who was detained at the police station. He was carrying the drugs in his backpack, hidden in a power bank and wanted to pass them to his daughter when the police were unaware but they intercepted him.

After going through his backpack, the police found that he had 13.98g of heroin and 0.98g of methamphetamine inside which costs about RM1,500. Of course, the father had to be arrested. That wasn’t a very smart thing to do! The incident happened on November 8, at around 11am, the police said.

Apparently, the daughter had been arrested recently by the police for drug-related crimes and was suffering from drug withdrawal in prison. It looks like her father couldn’t bear to see his beloved daughter in such distress and decided to take the risk to smuggle in some drugs to her.

The police said that they will be investigating the case under Section 39A (2) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952 which means the father will be facing life imprisonment or a minimum of five years, including at least 10 strokes of the cane.

Say no to dangerous drugs, everyone!
