A recent CCTV footage that’s been making its rounds online shows a food delivery rider faking an “accident” involving a customer’s food order.

According to Sin Chew Daily, the man was allegedly trying to score a free meal by purposely smashing the sauce that came with the food onto the ground.

He deliberately laid his bicycle flat on the ground

Based on the CCTV footage shared by @bananagiant on TikTok, the delivery man was seen parking his electric bicycle and laying it flat on the ground.

He then took out one of the food items, grabbed the sauce, and smashed it on the ground, making it look like it spilt by accident.

After the staged “accident”, he picked everything back up, lifted his bike, and placed the food back into his delivery bag like nothing had happened.

“My husband had to clean it up since it might attract pests”

Based on the user’s comments in the comment section, the incident happened in Sengkang, Singapore. The user claimed the food was actually ordered by a neighbour, but since she wasn’t sure who it was, she couldn’t inform them about the incident.

She also mentioned that the delivery man smashed the sauce right outside her unit, and since she was worried it might attract pests, her husband ended up cleaning the mess himself.
