Here’s the news everyone has been waiting for (and possibly dreading).

In an announcement today (26 October 2020) at 5:30pm on Kementerian Pertahanan Malaysia Facebook page, Malaysian Senior Defence Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob has declared the extension of the current Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) implemented for Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya.

The extension will be until 9 November 2020 and the standard operating procedures (SOPs) will remain the same.

Before the mentioned extension, Malaysians were hoping that the current CMCO would end on 27 October, but the increasing number of Covid-19 cases made many think otherwise.

The least we can do is cooperate with the authorities by adhering to the SOPs set in place by wearing your face masks properly in public places, physically distancing yourself from crowds and other people as well as only leaving your house when absolutely necessary.

Together, we can ensure that the Covid-19 virus is eradicated from our shores and hopefully, there won’t be anymore extensions on the CMCO or worse, an implementation of MCO again.

What do you think about this? Let us know in the comment section.
