Just last week, Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah took to his Twitter profile to remind everyone not to take advantage of the SOP relaxations that have been implemented for those who have been vaccinated.

In a separate post, he also shared that the relaxations have been implemented, not because it is safe, but for the sake of reviving our nation’s economy.

With all that being said, it is rather scary to see how people have already taken to crowding in malls despite the rising Covid-19 cases in our country. Recently, crowds were seen in  Mid Valley Megamall during the weekend, as showcased by the Malaysia Shopping Mall Facebook page.

They wrote, “Gradually returning to crowds at Mid Valley,” adding that these images were taken on 28 August, last Saturday, at 3pm.

While it is understandable that most of these people are probably there because they have to purchase necessities and are helping to revive the economy within the mall, it is still a little worrying to see such a crowd while Covid-19 numbers are still skyrocketing.

We genuinely hope that everyone is aware of the situation at hand as they go to malls and other public places during this time.

What do you think about this? Let us know in the comment section.
