AC Milan football star Zlatan Ibrahimović has tested positive for the Covid-19 virus.

On 24 September 2020, Zlatan Ibrahimović tweeted about how he was tested negative for Covid-19 the day before, but positive the day after.

“I tested negative to Covid yesterday and positive today. No symptoms what so ever,” he wrote. He also warns people that the Covid-19 virus has no symptoms. This is why we should always wear masks and practice social distancing to protect ourselves from this deadly virus.

The football personality famous for his bicycle kick also stated that “Covid had the courage to challenge me. Bad idea.”

Fans immediately responded by sending him well wishes and hoped that he will recover soon. His tweet has received around 930k likes and 205k retweets at the time of writing.

People who are infected with Covid-19, with or without symptoms, can transmit the virus to others. Even people confirmed to have COVID-19 but do not have symptoms should be isolated to limit their contact with others, according to WHO. Measures like isolating and receiving medical care can break chains of transmission.

As of yesterday (24 September 2020), Malaysia’s confirmed Covid-19 cases surged up to 10,576 cases, with 9,666 recovered and 133 deaths.

We should always keep in mind that the pandemic is not over yet, stay at home and comply with the government’s SOPs at all times.
