It’s only 3 weeks left to Christmas! With the decorations all set up in the malls, restaurants, and even your offices, all that’s left is for us to wait and embrace the festive day.

Apart from sprucing up the place with decorations, Christmas Carols were also held to gather the people who celebrate the season. Just last night (December 3), a Christmas Carol was held in Kuching but there’s something else about the event – it gathered a massive crowd with 2,479 people attending the Christmas Carol, which was broadcast live via WOW Sarawak’s Facebook page.

Not only that but the best part is, that the Christmas Carol in Padang Merdeka, Kuching made it to the Malaysia Book of Records for its highest attendance. It looks like Christmas came early for the people in Kuching, especially those who attended the event.

According to a statement by TVS, the TV station that organised the Christmas Carol said that the crowd got together and sang some of the classic Christmas songs, such as We Wish You a Merry Christmas, Feliz Navidad, and O’ Holy Night.

All ethnics and cultures in 1 place

TVS also admitted they did not expect a huge crowd for the Christmas Carol last night.

“We expected only around 1,500 attendees for the event last night, but the outcome surprised us.”

The number of crowd almost doubled than what was initially expected. The event, which was known as “A Christmas Carol: Sarawak in Diversity” is proof of Sarawak displaying and strengthening the bond between people of different races, ethnicities, and cultures.

“It also shows our dedication in bringing together the people of different background.”

TVS also said that such an event is a platform for them to promote peace and harmony among the people.

As for the people in Klang Valley, do you happen to know any upcoming Christmas Carols near your area?
