From Tom Hanks to Cristiano Ronaldo, the coronavirus seems to be sparing no one. As recently reported by the National Post, the Canadian prime minister’s wife has been infected with the virus.

Sophie Gregoire Trudeau, Justin Trudeau’s wife, has been diagnosed positive for coronavirus and is remaining in isolation for the time being. She has stated that she is feeling well and is taking all necessary precautions. She came down with flu-like symptoms Wednesday (10th March) evening after returning from a trip to London, England, where she spoke at an event for WE Day, a youth empowerment gathering.

“Although I’m experiencing uncomfortable symptoms of the virus, I will be back on my feet soon. Being in quarantine at home is nothing compared to other Canadian families who might be going through this and for those facing more serious health concerns”, said Sophie Trudeau in a statement, also urging people to share the facts and take their health seriously.

Her husband, the prime minister of Canada, has been reported to be in good health with no symptoms. He announced yesterday (12th March), that he would be in isolation and working from home. He then called off an appearance at the Public Health Agency of Canada and rescheduled a meeting.
