Owning up to your mistake is something that many people, even adults, are incapable of doing but this young child in China is very brave for being able to do so.

Miss Xu from Zhejiang had noticed that there was a hairline scratch on her car on 26 October but did not pay it much mind as it was no big matter.

However, as she was exiting the residential area with her husband, security personnel stopped their car and handed them a note with 50 yuan (RM32) inside, reported MNW.

A child in the neighbouring house had written that note to apologize for scratching their car.

“Yesterday, I scratched your car with a wooden stick, and I feel very guilty. I only have 50 yuan now, how much does it cost to repair the car?” Can I pay in installments? I’m so sorry.”

Miss Xu found this interaction to be very funny and also cute.

That night, the couple met up with the little child who is still in lower primary and told him that they accept his apology.

They also returned the 50 yuan to him by saying that it was a reward for his honesty and responsibility.

This is certainly a very heartwarming story, his parents certainly taught him right!
