Bangkok Market Mass Shooting Leaves 5 Dead Before Gunman Takes Own Life

A 61-year-old man had committed suicide after killing 5 people in a mass shooting incident at the Or Tor Kor Market in the Chatuchak district in Bangkok today (July 28) at 12:38pm.

According to a report by Bangkok Post, rescue workers confirmed that the 5 deceased were 4 market security guards and a female vendor. 2 other women, on the other hand, sustained injuries.

The bodies of the security guards were seen on camera lying on the ground of the market while the gunman ran towards the eyewitnesses. The gunman, dressed in a cap, black T-shirt and camouflage shorts, was later found dead on a bench inside the market’s building.

Police managed to identify the gunman by his ID and driving license found inside a rucksack that he left beside his body before committing suicide.
