Everyone across the world knows about the Himalayas just like how every Malaysian knows about Mount Kinabalu.

It is definitely a mountain that Malaysians would target first if they love this kind of activity. Even though it is on a much smaller scale than the Himalayas, there is still some difficulty when tackling it.

Recently, a video by TikTok user @iceeminn123 has gone viral on several social media platforms and was even reposted on the Mount Kinabalu Facebook page.

In the video, we can see an old uncle in a teal jacket being guided by someone who seems like a mountain guide. The person holding the camera was asking the uncle how old he was to which the old man replies, “I’m 90“.

Another person nearby is heard saying, “he’s even faster than me“.

The caption of the video says: “he is the oldest (Malaysian) man to ever reach the peak of Mount Kinabalu!“. They added that the previous record was held by an 87-year-old climber.

“All of these prove that age is really just a number. Congratulations on making it to the top! You are AMAZING!”

Many netizens were amazed at the elderly man and some were inspired by him.

“That’s amazing.”

“Congratulations, that was great.”

“Respect.”

“If he can do it then you can do it too!”

We wonder what is his secret recipe to stay healthy and mobile at that age. We would want to do something similar as well!
