20yo Woman Survives Fall from 7th Floor Balcony in Ipoh, Bomba Called In to Safely Carry Her Out

A woman sustained serious injuries after she fell from the 7th floor of an apartment building in Jalan Lim Bo Seng, Ipoh, Perak, today (Friday, June 20).

The Ipoh Fire Department (Balai Bomba Ipoh) took to its Facebook page to share how the victim had fallen 5 storeys, from the 7th floor to the 2nd floor of the apartment building.

They wrote, “At 12:22pm, Ipoh Fire and Rescue Station (BBP) received a call to pick up a victim that had fallen from a building at Kinta Riverfront Suites, Ipoh, Perak. Based on the initial report of the incident, a 20-year-old Malay female had fallen from the 7th floor back balcony to the 2nd floor of the building.”

“The victim suffered injuries to her face and body and was handed over to the Ministry of Health for further action. Also present at the scene were the police.”

 

They found the victim in the air conditioning compressor area

According to a report by Kosmo, the Perak Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) Assistant Director of Operations, Sabarodzi Nor Ahmad, shared that a team of 8 firefighters from the BBP were immediately dispatched to the scene upon receiving an emergency call at 12:21pm.

“Upon arrival at the scene, it was found that a 20-year-old woman had fallen from the back balcony on the 7th floor of an apartment. The woman was, however, found in the air conditioning compressor area on the 2nd floor. The victim suffered serious injuries in addition to a broken thigh and cuts on her body,” he explained.

The victim was rescued and brought down from the apartment using a stretcher and was handed over to a medical team for treatment.
