The Covid-19 pandemic has caused many of us to face various economic, social and financial problems and some had to be laid off. In order to make a living, they resort to working as delivery riders.

However, there was an unexpected incident in Manila where the FoodPanda riders became victims to a prank by some irresponsible individuals. 16 of the riders were requested to send food to the same address.

As reported by Coconuts, the incident took place at the home of businessman Vladimir Cuevas where he himself was the target of the prank too and shared about the incident on his Facebook page. The total value of the orders that arrived was about RM157 and they were supposedly cash on delivery. Cuevas said,

“We were shocked when the riders arrived one by one in front of the house but they did not have our number and our address was used by someone else.”

Maawa naman kayo sa mga Food Panda/Grab Riders. Samin pa na address. Daming order a. Party??? May parating pang iba. ??‍♂️Update: 16 Riders lahat lahat. 1700-1900 worth of orders kada isang rider.

As a result, Cuevas took and paid for the food from four FoodPanda Riders while the neighbours also bought some of the food to help out. Some of the riders had to leave the area and sell the food somewhere else. This is a type of prank that is not funny and extremely inconsiderate. Some people are struggling to make ends meet and they can risk having to deal with these kinds of problems. If you know anyone who has the intention to do the same, please advise them not to do so.
