If you’re an animal lover and planning for a unique-themed wedding, then Zoo Negara may just have the perfect offer for you!
The Malaysian National Zoo or Zoo Negara recently said that it is currently in the midst of introducing a wedding package at its premises. This is part of the many alternative products that the zoo is offering in order to increase revenue and sustain operations.
As reported by Harian Metro, Zoo Negara Deputy President, [email protected] Ahmat Lana asserted that the package will soon be offered after Aidilfitri celebrations and at an affordable price as well! It is hoped that these wedding packages can be a new form of attraction for people to visit Zoo Negara in the future.
Rosly was quoted of saying the above after Zoo Negara bear witness to the wedding reception of two couples last week, all four of which are staff at the zoo. The Star reported that the two couples were zookeeper Mohd Hafizi Azahari, 29 with his bride, assistant veterinary officer Mustaza Syirin Mustafa, 30 and customer service officer Mohamad Rafiq Syafiq Mohamad Salehudin, 27 with his bride zoology officer Nursyahidah Ismail, 25.
Rosly further commented that if they can hold a wedding reception at Zoo Negara’s Dewan Kancil, they will study the relevant SOPs on how to get wedding guests to enter the premise without using the front entrance. Furthermore, all guests will be given 50% ticket discount for the zoo on the day of the wedding.
Previously, Zoo Negara have offered wedding packages but it was discontinued some years back due to the high prices. However, Dr Mat Naim, a zoology, hospital and veterinary service and Giant Panda Conservation Centre director recently suggested a reviving of the programme but at a much lower cost.
Awesome! What do you guys think? Would you be open to having your wedding reception at Zoo Negara? Share your thoughts with us in the comments.
