We’ve got some great news for motorists using the North-South Expressway (PLUS) and East Coast Highway 2 (LPT2) to balik kampung this Raya!

NST reported that both PLUS and LPT2 are offering a 50 per cent discount on its toll prices, which have started today (13 June 2018) at 12.02am and ends tomorrow (Thursday, 14 June 2018) at 11.59pm. Ah, music to our ears!

If you’re going to balik kampung today or tomorrow, you can enjoy this discount!

The announcement was made through a statement released by PLUS Malaysia Bhd yesterday (11 June 2018).

An excerpt of the statement reads,

“This discount is offered to all classes of vehicles at all PLUS and LPT2 expressways. For instance, if a user enters the highway at 8pm on Tuesday (12 June 2018) and exits the highway to make toll payment at 1am on Wednesday (13 June 2018), he will enjoy the discount.”

Sadly though, this discount is not applicable at Tanjung Kupang and Sultan Iskandar toll plazas. Awh, bummer!

On a side note, motorists using the Penang Bridge on the same dates (13 and 14 June 2018) will also enjoy a price cut from the normal toll rates. The discounted rates, which apply to every class of vehicle, are as follows;

  • RM0.70 – first class
  • RM3.50 – second class
  • RM6 – third class
  • RM12.50 – fourth class
  • RM22.20 – fifth class
  • RM30 – sixth class
  • RM37.50 – seventh class

Well, these discounted prices are significant because it varies greatly from its original prices as shown in the picture below!

Our wallets are definitely happy with the discounts given at these major tolls because it will lessen the financial burden that we may face when using these highways to get to our destinations. That said, you may want to start moving ASAP because these price cuts will only last for two days (Wednesday, 13 June 2018 and Thursday, 14 June 2018). Be quick and cease the opportunity!

Selamat Hari Raya and enjoy the holidays guys!
